A couple Firsts For Miss Mila

After an unfortunate event with a round small bedside table in their bedroom Mila took her first Trip to the Emergency Room.

Kinley and Mila had been playing (chasing each other down the hall, into their bedroom, and back to our room) when all the sudden I heard crying and a few seconds later was greeted in our doorway by Mila.  The whole right side of her face COVERED in blood.  After getting her cleaned up we could see that her lip was bleeding, her nose was bleeding, and that she had sliced her eyelid open.  

I called the doctor and he suggested we take her to the emergency room with it being her eye.  Because any work that would need to be done would have to be done by a plastic surgeon. 

Thankfully even though it did cut completely through her eyelid it didn't do any damage to her eye!

Because of where the cut was they just cleaned it up, and helped it lay flat.  If they did glue or stitches it would hold her eye open and she would be unable to close it, so they just decided to leave it. 

Mila had been looking forward to going to get her First REAL haircut all day.  Cookie cutters was kind enough to push her appointment back so we could still make it after our little detour :) 

Cute Girl, Cute hair, and Despite the bruising, CUTEST smile! :) 

It did get worse before it got better, as far as bruising goes.. 

Here she is 3 days later.. 

Now she is back to Normal with nothing more than a tiny scar on her eyelid to remember it by!
