Caught

Caught her!  Red handed!
Now I guess I should apologize to Nick for blaming him for emptying the toilet paper rolls and throwing it all on the floor! ;)

More Bath Pictures

I know I post bath pictures about every other week or so, but I cant help it!  It is where she is happiest!  Today while taking a bath we played some hide and seek, played with rubber duckies, splashed to our hearts content, and laughed A LOT at our splashing!  Who could ask for more?!

Our Little vampire, I LOVE it!
(her top 2 teeth are currently coming in along with 2 more on the bottom)
Everyday she grows up a little more, and we see more personality!
She is quite the independent little busy body, but she makes us laugh everyday, and we couldn't be happier with that.

Hello

My name is Katelin Austin....and I have a confession to make.  I am afraid I am responsible for raising a chocoholic she is 1, and her name is Kinley.

Thats right age 1.....finding secret chocolate stashes.....what am I going to do?! :)
Its cute though?  haha

I LOVE em'

The thicker this girls hair gets the curlier it get!  I personally don't think there is anything cuter than a little toddler with curls! :) Her hair is getting so much fun to play with!  Now, if she would just leave the cute bows and clips in her hair for longer than a few minutes! :)

BUBBLES!

We decided to break out the bubble machine today.  We had a blast!
My mom found these great bubbles at  Gymboree!  They are for indoors and safe for carpet.  You just vacuum them right up!  Also they are non toxic....thats great because Kinley chased them around trying to get them, and pop them with her mouth not her hands.

Silly girl!

Thats what its all about

Kinley LOVES reading books!  Even when we are not reading them to her she loves looking at them and turning the pages.  Last week I walked into Kinley's room to find this...

I am so glad that I found a guy that is not only willing to spend time reading to his daughter but more importantly willing to sit down on his own free time and spend quality time with her (without even being asked. :D )

You know, life really isn't about money and things.  Its about moments like this, and being happy with where you are in life and who you are with.

"Ten Four Good Buddy"

New years day afternoon we though it would be fun to go out and ring in the new year with style at the park flying Nicks hobby plane.   We had a blast, and it was really good weather!

Kinley, all bundled up!
 What a Cutie!
He still needs to work on his landings. ;)  HAHA!  Nick climbing the tree to get his plane out of it. :)

Mom & Kinley watching Dad.
It was cute, Kinley started getting a little red nose so her and I decided to go back to the car.  Well I decided to anyway, because, as I started pushing the stroller away Kinley turned around and stood up so she could continue watching the plane as we walked back to the car.

...and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I got a little bit behind in my blogging over the last few weeks, but I am all caught up now for the new year!  I still wanted to post our Christmas Card and make sure to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Your Friendship and support means so much to our little family! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for us!  Take care, and stay warm!

Lots of Love,
Nick, Katelin, and Kinley

I think I get to keep these toys....

I think Kinley has finally figured out that all the toys she got for Christmas are hers to keep, and play with.  It took us a few days to get things organized and put away, but we are back in a routine, and Kinley is getting a chance to sit down and figure out, play with, and enjoy her new toys that she got for Christmas.  I think Santa definitely hit the sweet spot with the Baby Doll. She feeds her baby her bottle all by herself! I had to show her once how to do it and she caught on.  She even makes a cute little noise like the baby is sipping!  Cutest thing I have ever seen and heard!

Once she is done feeding her baby she has to try it herself too! :)

She gets very concerned when her little hat falls off.
(This was her handing me her hat to put back on)

She even Plays "If Your Happy and you Know it Clap your Hands" with her! When she did this it amazed me!  I cant believe how much she understands and imitates what we do with her with her own little baby doll even at just 11 months old!

and she makes sure she gets pleanty of loves, and kisses.
She has also been having fun with her maracas and Ball Toy!

Never in a million years did I ever think she would grow so fast!  She is getting smarter everyday!
Although she is growing up, and it makes me a little sad.  I am SO thankful that she is developing as she should be, and I LOVE watching her learn, and grow!  I cannot wait to see what she surprises me with tmrw! :)

Kinley's First Christmas

The week of Christmas was a busy one for us, as I am sure it is for everyone.  By the time we got to Christmas eve Kinley was exhausted.  We spent the Night at my Mom & Dads house Christmas eve night to share Christmas morning with the family.  We wanted to see what Santa would bring to all the kids, and my Mom makes the most delicious Christmas Morning casserole that we just couldn't miss out on!

Kinley Sleeping waiting for Santa to come.
She slept through the night.  What a good girl!

The Next morning we were thrilled to see that Santa had been MORE that generous to all of us. Nick got Some New shoes and COD Black Ops. (He was THRILLED), and I got the cutest pair of Flip Flop Slippers, and Christmas just couldn't be Christmas without finding a Hickory Farms Beef Stick in my Stocking! :)

Nick and I both got some fun surprises opening gifts too...
My parents surprised me with a cricut!!
(My Dad went on Black Friday to Walmart and stood in line at 3am to get this good deal for me!  He must love me because that is NOT something he would normally do!)
and Nick opened up his big gift from Kinley and I...he was thrilled!
He got an ipad!
We let Kinley sleep in for a little while since the kids woke up BRIGHT and EARLY at 6:30am to see what Santa had brought!
Kinley got a rocking horse, a doll, some leap frog learning maracas, and all sorts of other fun things!
By the time Kinley woke up (9:30am) Kylee COULDN'T WAIT to show her all the fun things Santa had brought her!

She wasnt sure how she felt about being SO AWAKE so fast! But hey, its Christmas!

It took her a few times but she eventually caught on to opening gifts!  She would tear off a few pieces of paper and then get distracted, but it was fun watching her figure everything out!

By Mid Afternoon Everyone was BEAT!

After a little afternoon nap we headed over to Nick's parents and had a nice Christmas dinner, and opened gifts over there!
Cant wait to do it all again next year!
Merry Christmas!
