Lagoon Day

Each year Novell takes Support to Lagoon for a company activity!  This year Nick, Kinley, Kynsie, Nathan, and I were able to go.

We had a lot of fun!  Here are a few pictures from the day!

Nathan, Nick, and Kynsie on the Rocket
Nate thought he was going to die, he said he didn't remember how high it really was!
Kinley and I  waiting for everyone to get off the Samurai.  Num Num, tasty fingers!
Nick, Nathan, and I on Cliff Hanger
Kynsie, Nathan, and I on Rattlesnake Rapids....I got soaked.
Kynsie and Kinley
Me and my gal
While we were waiting for Nathan and Nick to get off the white roller coaster Kynsie took Kinley in her very first carnival ride!
She was not sure how she felt about it until it started moving, then she loved it.

By the time we headed home, Nathan had worn himself out.

We had a blast!

Just a Swingin'

My Dad Used to Sing me a Song when I was growing up, and still often pulls out the chorus, or a verse and sings it to me when It applies.

Just a Swingin' by John Anderson

There's a little girl, in our neighborhood.
Her name is Charlotte Johnson, and she's really lookin' good.
I had to go and see her, so I called her on the phone.
I walked over to her house, and this was goin' on.

Her brother was on the sofa, eatin' chocolate pie.
Momma was in the kitchen, cuttin' chicken up to fry.
Daddy was in the backyard, rollin' up a garden hose.
I was on the porch with Charlotte, feelin' love down to my toes.
and we were swingin' (swingin')
yes we were swingin' (swingin')

Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

Yeah, and we'll be swingin'. (swingin')
Yes, we'll be swingin'. (swingin')
Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

Now Charlotte she's a darlin', she's the apple of my eye.
When I'm on the swing with her, it makes me almost high.
And Charlotte is my lover, and she has been since the spring.
I just can't believe it started on her front porch in this swing.
Just a swingin'. (swingin')
ah-just a swingin'. (swingin')

Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin')

I said Little Charlotte she's as pretty as the angels when they sing.
I can't believe I'm out here on her front porch in this swing,
Just a swingin' (swingin') (swingin')

I took this picture of Nick & Kinley yesterday, while Nick was swinging withher on the old tire swing at his parents house. All I can think of when I see this picture is the song that my Dad sings.  Maybe one Day Nick will learn it, and sing it to Kinley, and if he doesn't, I am sure she will hear it from her Grandpa! :)

What do July Showers bring?

If April Showers bring May flowers, what do July showers bring?
Yesterday was a beautiful morning.  Right as I was getting ready to leave work all the sudden there was a loud boom, I looked out the window, and this is what I saw!  (along with a huge crowd of people running out the door to their cars to roll up their windows! LOL! )

I LOVE summer showers!
15 Minuets later it was bright and sunny again!

New Mode of Transportation

Kinley has been rolling from her tummy to her back for a while now but has not been able to roll from her back to her tummy.

Well, the other day Kinley was playing in her room on a blanket with some toys.  I left to do something in the other room and could hear her squealing so I decided to go see what was up.

This is how I found her.
"Mom!"
 "How did this happen?"
"Look what I did!....Now, How do I get back?"
Now, She is a pro!  She is Loving her new mode of transportation.

You figured it out!  Good Job Little Lady!

The 4th Of July

This year the 4th of July celebrations started with the stadium of fire on the 3rd of July.  We didn't get tickets this year but we were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony.  Kinley had been asleep for about an hour when they started.  I was hoping she would sleep through them but they woke her up.  We let her come out and watch them with us.  She was not sure what she thought about these loud colorful booms that woke her up!

Unfortunately, the week of the 4th of July we had 2 deaths in the family.  My Grandma Grime (My Dad's Mom), and my Great Uncle Norman (My Mom's Uncle).  My family had to take a quick trip out to Nebraska for my Grandma's Funeral, and were gone on the 4th of July.
However, due to some previous commitments Nick and I were unable to go to the funeral.

The 4th of July is my Mom's favorite holiday.  She was kind of bummed to be missing it all.  So, I made sure to take lots of pictures for her!

The 4th Of July just isn't the 4th of July without the Parade!
 Us Navy Jet
Pirate Island Pizza
Tuacahn Theater's Tarzan (my personal favorite float!)
High School Bands
Boy Scouts of America
Curious George got stuck on the tree in front of us and popped.  Its a good thing we were close to the end of the parade!
Old Fashion  Fire Truck

Our Founding Fathers

Kinley's first 4th of July Parade!  I am sure there will be many more to come!
Having a glaring contest with Dad.
Uncle Scott, Aunt Susie, and Grandma watching the Parade.
She Liked something she was seeing!
Supporting the Troops!
Salt Lake Temple, and the pioneers.
I wouldnt be me if I didn't get a picture of the pig float!
"Dream Big, Save Big" I think thats a good Motto!
Whoohoo! Go Missionaries!
Grandma's Temple.
(Kylee calls the Provo temple "Grandma's Temple" since she works there)
All American Cowboys!
There were all sorts of people showing off different tricks they could do!
Lama Fest
The Military

And last but not least...The parade is to the forth of July, like the George Q. Cannon is to the parade!
What a great way to end it!

We had a LONG walk back to the car after the parade.  So Kinley just laid back propped her feet up, and enjoyed the ride.
Later that night Nick, Kinley, Kendra, Grandma, and I met up and set off a few fireworks. It wasnt the same without having the WHOLE family there, but we still had a blast!
I took this picture of the firework with my phone and sent a very special text msg to Tyler
it said,
"Happy 14th Birthday Sparky!"
(Independence Day wasn't the only thing we were celebrating on the 5th!)
