Something tells me she had help......

I had to work today from 2-6pm so Kinley got to stay home and hang out with Dad while he worked from home.

I got to work and chatted Nick asking how Kinley was doing. This was the response I got...

Nick: Hey honey,
So quiet here for some reason.. I left my phone with Kinley..
Shes so cute playing with it.

Shortly after I got that chat I got a pix msg with a text!
Here it is..."Why do you leave me with him? This isnt even a good cartoon. The least you could have done is left a good Stephen King novel for me while he works!
I just saw him pick his nose! This is who you choose? Out of everyone on the planet?!"

Something tells me she had help with her first text msg....but it sure made me laugh. Thats the reason I chose him out of everyone on the planet!

Where is the popcorn?

Kylee and Kinley watching Brother Bear 2.
I'm already learning great parenting tricks! About 25 minuets into the movie she was asleep. ;)

Dear Baby Bjorn Front Pack

Dear Baby Bjorn Front Pack,
You are my life saver, and the only reason my house stays at all picked up.
I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for me so far, and many thanks in advance for what you will be doing for me until Kinley is over 30 lbs.
Love, Katelin

These are a few of her favorite things

Mom: "Isn't it enough to just sleep and eat anymore?"
Kinley: "NO! A girl my age needs to be entertained! I need some TOYS Mom!"

It wont be long til I hear the phrase that I and all other kids have said to their moms,
"I have birthday money, can we go to Toys R us now?"

Kinley is to the age where she really enjoys toys, looking at books, swinging in her swing (upright might I add), and being up seeing whats going on.

So, a few weeks ago I went and invested in a few things...she LOVES them...

First, her Lullaby Glow Worm (She will stare at this for a good 45 minuets!)
Second, her jungle mat! (Yet again, a good 45 minuets!)
There is SO much to look at and play with! It has been so much fun to see her start understanding that she can touch things. She will pull the mirror over to her and look at herself and hit the rattle hanging above her head, then she will make this face like,
"Did I just make that happen? Wow... just to make sure I am going to try again!"
and last of all
blogging with Mom is the best kind of entertainment right?! ;)

Just a few pictures....

I love all the cute bows, flowers etc... that they have to put on her!

I cannot believe my little girl is already 4 months old!
She is such a cutie, and her personality comes out more everyday!
Cannot wait to see what the future brings (but at the same time, I can definitely wait!)

One Fun Night

Every now and then everyone needs a little of this....
Even if it involves this.......
haha.......

While You Were Sleeping....

Kinley,
While you were sleeping I.... DEEP cleaned the Kitchen (refrigerator and all).
Cleaned and reorganized the computer desk, and filing cabinet (payed a few bills along the way).
Cleaned the family room.
and I fixed my table decoration.
Its amazing what you can get done during an early morning nap when you don't know how long you have to get things done.

Thanks for letting me get something accomplished!
Love,
Mom

She Laughed!

Apparently I am funny looking because last night, while Nick and I were eating dinner Kinley was staring at me and she let out a real live belly laugh! She got it figured out, and it was the cutest thing I have ever heard in my life!

50's Night WithThe Jensens

A while back I posted a post about my grandparents 50th Wedding anniversary.
I finally figured out how to get videos to post from our HD video camera. So, here are a few clips from the fun night!

Here is a Song my Dad, Aunt Missy, Aunt Holly, and Aunt Debbie wrote on New Years Eve for all the kids to perform for Grandma and Grandpa. The recording was not very good and you cannot understand all the words so I posted them below the video.

The Jensen Bunch

It s a story of a lovely lady
Filled with promise and was certainly lots of fun
She was leaving soon to go to college,
She hadn't found the one.

It s a story of a man named Jensen
He was searching for a place of his own.
He was handsome and very charming,
Yet he was all alone.

Then one day when this lady met this fellow
and they knew it was much more than lore
that together theyd love to form a family
They joined hands and began to dream of more.

To dream of mo re.... to dream of more......
They joined hands and began to dream of more!

Not long after, they had a baby
Blessed to love a bouncing little boy
Named Samuel Richard after his father
He was the ir pride and joy.

Then soon after, there came another
Lorin was a lively, energetic little boy
A mother and father with their hands full
They couldn't love life more.

Then one day they learned thered be another
they welcomed Nathan but some how had a hunch,
that three boys would'nt complete their family
pressed on and began to plan for a bunch.

The Jen sen Bunch.... the Jensen Bunch......
Pressed on and began to plan for a bunch!

We will tell yo u... the rest of the story.
Three daughters would join them in their home.
Debbie, Holly, and lil Missy
sweet blessings from Heaven shown.

One more twist to their lovely story
the milkman would deliver one of his own
Rife showed up on their front porch
and never EVER left the Jensen home.

One by one they all left home for another
to pursue their own eternal hunch
what came next is multitudes of blessings
and that s how they became the Jensen Bunch
The Jen sen Bunch..... The Jen sen Bunch....
Over 50 years they created this ENTIRE Bunch!

Life Is Tough

I woke up this morning to her making her cute little noises. So I pulled myself out of bed to see what she was doing. I was cracking up watching her. Kinley was having quite the time waking up! One second she would wake up and give me a big smile, or be completely wide eyed, and the next second she was out. I had to ran out and grabbed the video camera! (Sorry its a little dark, but I didn't want to turn the light on for fear of it waking her up completely.)

Gettin' Down....

It's time!
I'm getting down, WEIGHT WATCHERS style! I don't typically announce when I am going on a diet, but I have been having a hard time sticking to it since I have had Kinley. (Partly because I have nobody to go with each week, so if anyone is interested let me know!)

No more cheating here or there, no more "I will start again tmrws." I am making a public commitment to do this 100%!

I have taken a before picture and will post it when I take the after pictures, and no sooner! Its more positive that way right?! ;)

I definitely have a little bit of a road in front of me because lets face it....I have more than 10 lbs to loose to get down to where I should be. However, I am starting and I am not going to quit until I am there.

Start Day: May 16, 2010
I just gotta keep telling myself that...
"Nothing Tastes as Good as Skinny Feels"
SO, if any of you see me about to eat anything you know I shouldn't be...Take it away from me!

Here goes nothin'!

Sleep Tight

I have tons of catching up to do, and I keep putting off blogging what is happening NOW until I can get everything else blogged but all that is resulting in is me getting further and further behind. So, I am going to stop waiting and just get going again!

A few nights ago Kinley's bassinet broke. We took that as a sign that its time to move her over to her crib...
"I'm a big girl now!"
(Kinley sound asleep in her crib)

She has done great the last few nights! It wasn't even as hard as I thought it was going to be moving her out of our bedroom. We just got a REALLY sensitive baby monitor so that I can hear every little noise she makes. :)

** Side Note** The little duck quilt that is over her is the quilt Grandma Cherry made her when she was born. It is made out of the same fabric that my very first receiving blanket was made out of when I was a baby!
