Alright, I am only getting further and further behind each day I think "I NEED to get caught up" SO, I have decided to just start where I am and do throwbacks here and there to get completely caught up :)  There has been a lot that has happened but I am going to start with today!

Today, I have one happy little girl!  2 years ago we bought Kinley a cheep little Princess bike from Walmart.  She loved that thing.  She asks to go on bike rides on a daily basis (yes, even in the snow)  This last fall we were out riding bikes and her seat kept falling off.  It was a well loved little bike but refer to the above description CHEEP.

After that bike ride, Nick and I decided it was time to take it to DI because lets be honest we were stopped trying to fix it more than we were actually riding.  SO, we did.

We just had not mentioned it to Kinley yet.......

Last night as we were going to bed Kinley was saying how happy she was that it was warm because tomorrow we would go out for a bike ride.  I turned to her and said "Kinley... I need to tell you something..." As soon as I said "Mom and Dad took your bike to DI"  the tears started flowing it was as if I had ripped her heart out right there on the spot.  "But Mom, my bike was just my favorite thing... " she responded with tears just rolling.  It was not a fit, she was just so genuinely sad.  It was killing me. So I talked to Nick and we told Kinley that she could take all the money she had been saving from Christmas and birthdays etc and take it and put it towards a new bike.

Today, we went out looking.  We found a winner at Taylor's Bike shop in Provo.  :)  She saw it, and the man pulled it down from the ceiling for her to try out.  Kynsie and Grandma Cherry were with us and Kynsie was trying to convince her to pick the purple one but she was insistent on the pink one "pink, is just my favorite color!" she would say. :)  When she first saw it she said "Mom!  It has a basket! with a FLOWER!!!!" then she turned to the man and said, "Now, I can put my dog in it! well, my dog is too big." at this point the man I am sure thought we were absolutely crazy.... but she was so excited as she sat down she got a HUGE smile on her face and looked at me as when I heard a little ding.  A bell... could it have been any more perfect? :)

She proudly handed the clerk her money that she had been saving and said "I have been savin' this just for my new bike!"

oh that smile.
