Sometimes I think I take too many pictures, then I think, Nope, each experience, expression, smile etc. all together make up our life. I want to be able to look back and remember
Grandma Sitting in a plastic Childrens Firemans hat, carefree, watching the bands play.
Kendras face after I tell her to give me a real smile and how it is just glamorous. Even though she was going for glare, and shooting daggers :)
Kynsie always wanting pictures with the girls because she loves being their "auntie"
Mila, and her cowgirl boots.
Mom always wanting everyone to "just get along, and be happy" No matter how much effort it sometimes takes to be the one to make that happen.
That face, when she sees something for the first time, and the wheels turn, trying to figure out what its all about
or just enjoying it with genuine excitement, and pure wonder
I want to remember them trusting that people are good, and I hope they never loose the ability to wave to and smile at complete strangers because they have a feeling they are special.
No matter how tired he is, or on his roughest days, when he doesn't feel good.
How he pushes through, never complains and will just be part of things, even if that means a few naps along the way. He is still there.
How Mom loves them when they are little. She truly appreciates their genuine little acts of love, and things they say.
How Tanner thinks he tough, and how dad eggs it on, but goes easy on him, and thinks its funny :)
Old man strength. Its a real thing.
How much Mila Looks up to Kinley, whenever she thinks something is funny she always looks up to make sure Kinley is laughing too. :)
How something as simple as a high five, in a child's eyes is HUGE, and brings SO much happiness.
Mostly I want to remember this for when she is a teenager ;)
She does love me, and I am a comfort to them.
I want to remember when something as simple as lipgloss or lipstick made them feel like the fairest in the land. unstoppable. special.
I want to remember the sureal feeling I have when I watch Kinley and Mila with my Dad.
I feel like I am watching my childhood. Often seeing myself as a child and remembering how it looked and feelings associated with spending time with my dad and seeing those memories through a childs eyes again.
I never want to forget how I can see my whole dad through his eyes.
Every feeling, every aspect of his countenance.
Kendra and her love for sunglasses, Tanner and his love for his music.
They are so similar, and when they are genuinely happy it truly radiates.
I want to remember togetherness, and what it looks like to be surrounded by those you love.
Always having people that truly care, and to truly care about.
Im so thankful for the freedoms I have, and for those who gave their lives so that I have a beautiful country to live in.
To make memories in.
and to love in.
Happy 4th of July!
