Goblin Valley

I think its safe to say this was my FAVORITE part of the trip!  I have never seen anything like this before, nor did I even know it existed!  This was such a site to see and an awesome place to play!  I am pretty sure we  hiked over 10 miles that day and only had to carry the girls for the last mile or so!  they thought it was awesome getting to climb and explore to their hearts content!
breathtaking!

Funny story that I want to remember:  I was helping Kinley get off one of the formations when I heard "Shhh.... take the picture!"  I turned around to see Nick with no shirt on over in the corner of some Rocks... I was not even sure I wanted to know what was going on but as I looked a little closer I saw something that everyone thought was funny but melted my heart a little to see him doing. Mila needed her diaper changed and we were too far out to go back to the car, but he didn't want her to have to be laying on the rocks so he took his shirt and hat off so she had somewhere a bit more comfortable to lay, and then put his hat over her eyes so she didn't have to stare into the sun.  What a sweetheart I married. :)

 What a cute little trooper!
When Nick was a teenager his family went to Goblin Valley and Nick has his picture taken on this exact Rock.  Now he has 2 girls up there with him... and one down taking pictures of them of course! :D

The Misty Mate was definitely a lifesaver!

After we got back to the car the girls were SO worn out! They completely crashed for the drive home. When we got back to the campsite we decided they were dirty enough to brave the spider and beetle infested outdoor showers.  It felt awesome! :)
Then we sat around the campfire enjoying ....our electronic devices.  LOL!
AND each others company until bedtime!

It was such a fun day and I think that was the best night sleep we got too! :)

Arches

This last July we all decided to take a trip down to Moab to see the beauties all around us!
It was HOT!  Im talking over 100 degrees everyday!  However, it was beautiful!

The girls were sleeping in the car so they were both a little less than happy to be "hiking" around in the sun at arches.  SO, to teach them a lesson mad them push the stroller! haha!  just kidding!  I totally just let them ride! :) (note to my children when they are adults: See girls, it could have been worse!) ;)

For the first time I now understand the beauty that is Utah and I am proud to live in such a beautiful state!

It started pouring rain while we were eating lunch!  It was nice to cool off a little!  The  kids loved playing in the rain!

Nick and I  bought matching shoes that were bright enough so we didn't need flares if we got lost.... :) we could just throw our shoes up..... :D
alright, alright, I found a buy one get one free sale!

My Little Miss is almost 2!

Alright, I have A LOT to catch up on.  I definitely feel a good photo dump coming our way so I can finally get going on the blog again with Current things that are going on!  However, I got Milas 2 year old... thats right!  T.W.O. year old pictures taken yesterday... and, well I have to post them... ALL of them!  :)

Gah! I think I am in love all over again!
Happy Wednesday!
