Lovin' You!

A whole year has come and gone and I have learned a few things.

- Being Selfish only causes problems
-He will do anything for his brothers, and family (and mine) because of the love he has for them.
- Giving in makes me happier than getting what I want
-if I ask, he always gives me what I want. Sometimes I don't even have to ask. :)
- I will never be as great as a cook as my Mom and Grandma :D
- He is handsome (I knew that before, but he becomes more attractive everyday) :D
- Laughing makes life easier
- He loves Turkey Rolls and Grandmas Homemade Mac and Cheese
-Don't complain about the games he plays and what he is doing, play with him!
-Nick is the perfect husband for me. Nick will always be there for me no matter what. He loves me.

December 14, 2007 I was sealed for time and all eternity to my best friend in the SLC Temple. This past year being married to him has been the best, most adventurous, busiest, and most relaxing, year of my life. :) haha (doesnt make all the much sense hu?) There has been a lot of learning and growing that has taken place and I wouldn't give that up for the world!

Nick took me to Park City for our 1st anniversary this year. We had so much fun.We Packed up the car and took off Friday Night after work for some time alone away from everything. We definitely started the night off right with dinner at Ruby River where we ate like Kings and Queens! :) Yummy Stake and Peach Lemonade!

(Kate and Nick at Ruby River)

After dinner we jumped back in the car and took of for a weekend of snowboarding at the Canyons. :)
There wasn't much snow and there were only 2 runs open including the bunny hill so thats where Nick got stuck with me. :) Good News is, I got a little bit better.
I had wanted to learn to snowboard growing up but had only been skiing. Nick bought me the gear (I love my boots! I could wear them everywhere!) and now I am learn
ing to board. :) I'm not sure if I will ever be able to completely keep up with Nick and the boys but slowly I am getting better. :) and it is TONS of fun!

Getting ready to go on the first run of the day!

( I love these Boots!) :D

After Snowboarding we got to dress up and go to Omniture's Christmas Party. Omniture has been such a great company to work for. They had a wonderful Christmas party at the Grand America Hotel in SLC. They had Really Gourmet food that we were not used to. haha I think Nick and I would have done better choking down some Mac and Cheese ;) LOL but it was fun to try something new. :)

(Fish, I think)
:D

Didn't we look good!? ;) I'm not really sure whats going on with my nose in the picture. Im pretty sure it was the lighting :)

Sunday was our actual anniversary. It was Perfect. We were able to relax and watch My Sassy Girl, and Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. We also had a slice of our wedding cake and some bubbly! :)

What good is getting married 11 days before Christmas if you dont have some Egg Nog? :)

I am so blessed to have gotten such a wonderful, and thoughtful man!
Thanks for a wonderful year and for making our 1st anniversary so perfect and memorable sweetie. I cant wait to see what life has in store for us!

I Love You!
~xoxoxo~

I like to Move it, Move it!

Nick's brother Chris is on the BYU youth Ballroom team. Thursday Night they had their Christmas Performance! He did such a wonderful job and has a great talent with dance!

Way to go Chris! We love you!Brotherly love after Chris stunned the audience :)

CSR Candyland!

It wouldn't be Christmas at Novell if we (the CSR team) didn't decorate! This year we decided as a team to create CSR Candyland while our boss was out of town. She loved it when she got back!

Here is a walk around for all of you in pictures. :)

Start:
(It wouldn't be candy land without candy)

On to Gingerbread Lane:
( I'm a little bias of this portion because I worked on it)

(Whats a home without a chimney?!)

Roll a 6 and move to Chocolate Falls:

Next on our journey is Peppermint Way and the Evergreen Forest:

What would be the best way to end?
Stop in at Santa's Workshop for a drink of hot chocolate from Santa's Coco Latte Machine

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD
NIGHT!!

Fabulous Feet

Alright everyone for any of you that know me you know I am not one to really go to spas, or get pampered. I can wash my own face and paint my own nails ;) haha

However, This last Thursday after work my friend Holly and I decided there would be nothing better than a pedicure after a day of work.

So after work we headed to New Nails for a pedicure! It felt so good to getting my feet rubbed while getting a back massage! I might have a new bad habit :) haha

The End Result!
We both got CUTE snowflake designs on our big toes!

Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees was great this year! Nick and I went up with our friends Holly and Aaron for a nice evening in Salt Lake.

I remember going up when I was a kid and Nick had never been before. so this year I decided it would be fun to go. So we bought tickets. We all piled into the car to go see the trees. We started the night of at Sweet Tomato. ( great restaurant for the family, if you like soup and salad) and then we headed to the festival. It was really neat to see all the different trees that people had put together for loved ones that had passed away or had amazing miracles bless their lives.

I was surprised to see one. It touched my heart. There was an amazing 3rd grade teacher at Grandview when I was in elementary school. Her name was Val Bleazard. She passed away while my little brother was in her class a few years ago. Her family had put a tree together for her. It was so sweet. They called it "Love Never Melts" . I didn't go that night expecting to see anyone I knew. when I saw her face on the picture under the tree, it really hit home.

Let it SNOW!!

Yesterday morning Nick and I went to the Temple. I came out and saw Nick with a BIG smile on his face. When I asked him why he was smiling at me he nodded his head towards the windows. IT WAS SNOWING!! Looks like we get to go snowboarding this weekend! Whoot! I LOVE the snow! ( Just not driving in it )

Later that night Nick and I thought there would be nothing more fun than to go hot tubbing in the snow. :) So we did. It was a lot of fun... It ended with Nick and his brothers daring each other to jump in and out of the hot tub, roll in the snow, jump on the trap, run around the house etc. :) It was funny watching them prove they were "men" though :)
