I realize I am posting about Christmas and its already Spring. :) However, better late than never!
Christmas is so much fun with Kids! I Love it!
Christmas Eve- We spent Christmas Eve over at Grandma's house. Each year since I have been little my parents always let us pick a gift and open it before we go to bed. We have carried on that tradition with our own kids. :)
UNLIKE my parents.... I am awful and dont let them pick :) They just get new Christmas Pajamas. :) Maybe one of these days when they are older and fight me on it I will go soft and let they pick... you never know with me. :)
Anyway we spent the night together with Uncle Scott, Aunt Susie, and Grandma Cherry playing games, and eating all sorts of delicious things. Grandma Cherry's Sugar cookies and Aunt Susies Gingerbread cookies are definitely among the favorites of EVERYONE! :)
Kinley and Mila really liked opening their Christmas pjs. They were a bit confused that they were getting to touch and rip the things we had been telling them "No" about for the last month but they went with it. :)
Kylee Got a musical ornament that played different songs as you read a book that went along with it about the true meaning behind Christmas. From Grandma Cherry.
Tanner was THRILLED to get a pair of over the ear headphones from his favorite sister and Brother in Law! :)
And Tyler Loved his new VANS shirt. (not sure who gave it to him.... I think Mom and Dad)
and this....
is just what happens when you try to get a picture of the Girls in their Christmas Pjs a few hours too far past their bedtime on one of the most exciting nights of the year!
That Evening after going home, the girls fell asleep in the car so we moved them into bed and Santa Came.
He left them too much, as always!
Kinley LOVED her Brave barbies! Her other favorite was her Moon! She LOVES space and Santa brought her a moon that mounts to the ceiling and goes through all the phases of the moon as a night light that she thinks is pretty neat!
Mila Loved her Baby. When we opened her up we thought it was interesting that the name of her Doll was Mya Nicolette and she was born in November. :)
They also were lucky enough to get a toy Kitchen to share! Complete with dishes and food!
They have had A LOT of fun with it. Kinley likes to push the buttons on the microwave and say "beeboo, beebo" and Mila Loved to carry around the pots and pans stirring with a spoon.
Christmas Morning the Girls...okay Kinley... woke up bright and early... about 6:30am. We made her wait til about 7 to give Mila a bit more sleep (heaven knows that girl likes her beauty sleep) and then we woke up Mila and they came out to see what Santa had brought!
Mila went STRAIGHT to the candy and stayed there for pretty much the rest of Christmas Day! haha!
After they had time to see everything they got we opened some gifts and headed out to see what everyone else had got for Christmas.
(as you can see Mila didnt get enough beauty sleep... Either that or she was already coming off a sugar high!) :D
and I managed to forget my Camera after we left home. O well, I got to enjoy the moments first hand rather than from behind the lens. Its good for me! :)
Later that Day we were able to Skype with Both Kynsie and Tucker, who are out serving Missions for the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Kynsie is Serving for 18 months in Houston, TX and Tucker in Eugene, OR for 2 years. Both Spanish Speaking. This was the first time we were able to see/hear their voices since they left the summer before.
I am awful and didn't think to take any pictures of us Skyping with Tucker but when we were skyping with Kynsie we took a few with her on the TV just with a cell phone! It was a lot of fun and we look forward to being able to getting to talk to them again on Mothers day!
Merry Christmas to all!
251 days til Christmas 3013!
