Preschool Graduation

Kinley had her preschool graduation ceremony this last Friday!
We moved in September.  School had already started and I had not had much luck in getting her into a preschool...One of our neighbors told me that the stake primary president taught a preschool that her daughter was signed up and going to. She asked her if she had room for another and she did!
So we signed Kinley up!
She is pretty tall for her age... just in the 99th percentile... you know, so JUST above average ;)
So without asking her age Miss Heather put her in the older class.  She flew under the radar for a few weeks and then Miss heather asked her to sit down and cross her legs Indian style (crisscross apple sauce, as they call it)  Kinley couldnt do it.  So she called me and asked me how old she was.  She told me that her younger class often cannot sit like that.  Its just developmentally a lot harder for them.
Miss Heather said that kinley was keeping up with them really well for the most part and she didnt have any openings in the younger class so we decided to just keep her in the older class. :)

She did really well! AND she will get to graduate twice! :)

"My name is Kinley Brianne Austin.  my favorite part of preschool was feeding the fish"

"When I grow up I want to be a Mom, so I can turn on shows"
I know, I know, Mother of the year award goes to me! ;)
She really doesn't watch all that much TV!

She is excited that she gets to have her as a teacher for another year!

Kinley and Sage have developed quite the little friendship!  Glad she has such a good friend just in our backyard! She is going to miss her next year when she goes to kindergarten!

What a fun year for her!
So glad she was blessed with this opportunity!

Mud Masks at Grandmas

This year for Grandmas Birthday the girls got to spend some quality time with her due to a quick trip with Nick to the Doctor.
When we came back to pick them up we were surprised to find 3 mud monsters in our presence ;)
The girls sure thought it was pretty neat!
Happy 29th Birthday Grandma! ;)

Jump & Jive

Kinley had her first Dance performance!  It was also her first time up on stage doing anything in front of a large amount of people!  I have to admit I was worried for so many reasons.  I was worried she would ber nervous and either not want to go on stage or just stand there.  I was also worried that she would be SO tired she wouldn't be able to function due to having a dress rehearsal and 5 shows in 2 days with 2 of those shows starting at 8pm! But... I was SO wrong! She did AWESOME!

After her first show I went out to go pick her up and the first thing she asked is "are you so glad with me?"  I responded with Yes!  You did a great job!  You watched Miss Riki and did ALL your dance moves!"
her response to me was "Well, I'm glad you are glad but Im not glad...."
When I asked why she responded with
"because I was just a little nervous!"

Aunt Kylee was in the show too!  Next year Mila with join them and make their duo a trio!
(Funny Story about Mila... They had 2 doors into the theater but normally the second set were closed.  about 5 minutes before the show started I was out in the hall with Mila she ran towards the second door but I didnt worry too much about it because I figured they would be closed.  I followed her walking normally... then I saw the doors were open. Oh brother...there she was...standing in the middle of the stage at the covey center waving to the crowd.... After getting her she just smiled and said "I dancin'"  haha at least we know she wont cry when she is up there dancing this next year!)

Kinley had lots of Supporters including her Great Grandma Cherry, Great Grandma and Grandpa Tucker, Grandma Nae, and Grandpa, Papa. and "Just Grandma"
Uncle Tyler, Tanner, and Uncle Alex
Aunt Kynsie, and Kendra

By the last Show she was begging for more shows and came out saying.
"Mom!  I wasn't even nervous! Not even a little!"

 Way to go Girlie!

Easter

This year the Easter Bunny Left a trail of candy to the girls baskets again!
It has been a huge success the other years!

Kinley's Basket

Mila's Basket

Kinley remembered the Easter bunny was coming before Mila even woke up so here Nick is trying to grab her so that he could get Mila. :)  Yes, Kinley is wearing Christmas pajamas :)

Even though she was so excited she sat down on the top stair to wait for her sister :)
I think its safe to say they were pretty happy!  Heaven knows they had reason to be!  They got all sorts of fun stuff!

These boogie boards were definitely the favorite and to this day they get played with on a daily basis for a good 30 minutes to an hour!

The Easter Bunny had also hidden a bunch of chocolate eggs around the house. :)  Mila found the first one.  She climbed up on the table while I was making breakfast.  I turned around and said "MILA!  what are you doing?  Do we climb on the table?" She just kept looking at me with this HUGE smile and pointing... then I saw it... and it all made sense.
So, Dad gave her a boost.  The girls were finding eggs for days!  It was so much fun!
We tried to get an Easter picture......
LOL!
...after roughly 40 pictures that looked like the ones above....
we at least got this one :)

We did our annual Easter egg hunt at Grandma Cherry's!
Always a highlight!

Kinley was a little less than happy about this one.... Mean uncles. ;)

Mila was so dirty. She was drooling chocolate all day long!
This girl sure has a sweet tooth if I have ever seen one!

Grandpa playing Hot and Cold with the girls to find the eggs that were left. :)

On to Easter Dinner and Hunt #2 over and Grandma and Grandpa Austins :)

Wayne was so sleepy by the end of it all he let his pacifier fall out of his mouth. ;)

Love being close enough to our families that we get to spend special holidays like this with those we love most!

Happy Easter!
