Last Night at about 11pm Kinley woke up. Nick went to lay with her and I was just finishing my work shift so I went up just a few minutes later. I climbed into bed with them to hear Nick explaining to her what an echo was and how it worked. she continued to ask a whole bunch of questions like "but dad, how fast does an airplane go?" etc. Nick finished answering her questions to the best of his ability and we told her that it was time to roll over and go to sleep. :) After snugging into her blanket she got close to me and said, "I want to be a Mom when I grow up" (She just had her preschool graduation and that is what she said for her part) I jokingly said to her " Good! I want you to be a Mom, but wait! If you are a Mom that makes me a grandma! Just like my Mom is a grandma now!" She then got a big frown on her face, and started to cry and in a panicked little voice started pleading with me, "I Just will tell Miss Heather a different one, I want you to be my Mom..." tears still running down her little cheeks I quickly cuddled her in and told her that I would always be her Mom and that we could both be Moms. :) I just left the becoming a grandma part out of it. :) She calmed down, and fell to sleep. I may or may not have had a few tears escape too. This motherhood thing... I dont know... Just when I think I am loosing it, those sweet little things make sure I know I still have it together, that I am doing a good job, and most importantly that they love me, and are willing to in a heartbeat give up their biggest little dreams (at the moment) to keep me around. :)
