The girls both decided to be disney princesses this year. Now, before you guess. Shockingly enough, they were NOT Anna and Elsa from Frozen :) That was most definitely the most popular costume for girls of all ages this year. However, they choose to be Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, and Arial from The little Mermaid. Here are my 2 little Princesses all dressed up!
Nick and I had both been on the fence about dressing up but then we had this Genius idea...
Right?! So, When Kinley walked in to find her Dad the Pineapple she looked at him with a very shocked look and asked "are you going to work?" When Nick responded with Yes she then Said, "you cant go to work like that! Everyone will think you are weird!" Nick looked over at me and said, "4 years old and she is already embarrassed by me. I really thought that wasn't supposed to start til much later!"
Nick headed off to work but texted me later telling me I did good work because he was getting all sorts of compliments. :) So luckily it didn't damage his self esteem TOO much. :)
(Just for the record: when the girls woke up the morning after Halloween to see we had shaved his pineapple off both Kinley and Mila were a little heartbroken about it. So it must have grown on Kinley a bit throughout the day.)
I dressed up with a clown hat, nose, and some striped tights and big clown shoes. However, I was behind the camera so no pictures this year. :)
UPDATE: My mom was totally on it and took a picture of us all... so I do have a picture afterall (for better or for worse ;))
That afternoon we went and got Dad early from work and started heading down to Novell for Trick or Treating. Unfortunately, things didnt go as planned...
At 1600 N in Lindon our Tire blew on the freeway. We had JUST bought new tires and our Van didnt come with a spare. I was also in the carpool lane when it blew so we were pulled over on the inside of the freeway! Long story made short we had to call a tow truck and we missed Novell Trick or Treating.
:(
However, the girls thought it was pretty neat getting to ride in a tow truck and told us they couldnt wait to tell their cousin Braxton because he likes Trucks and would say "what?! so cool!"
Despite the flat Tire we were able to go join Kylee and Grandma and Papa for a little Trick or treating that evening, and even got a free Halloween cupcake at Sweet Tooth Fairy!
They fell asleep on the way home in the car but in the morning....
the first thing they did was dump their buckets on our bed to see all the candy they had collected while Trick or Treating! I think they made out GOOD!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
