Daddy's coming home

The other day Kinley waited for nick to come home for about 15minutes. It was adorable!!

Dear Mila

Dear Mila,
You are so precious. deep down I am thrilled that you are learning and developing more and more each day....However I just want to scream SLOW DOWN! STOP!  What are all these new tricks you are learning?!  In just the last 3 weeks you have learned to, eat your toes, roll over, and each day you get stronger and stronger with sitting up.  Now that you are learning the basics I know it will only be a short time til you are walking, and even running...
 Dear Mila,
I am pretty sure you are the most patient soul in the whole world..... continue to be that way.
Even when your sister squishes you, and smothers you with hugs and kisses... or even sometimes is flat out rough with you, you never cry.
Remember she does it because she loves to hear you laugh and she adores you.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears...

For Alex's Birthday this year we all headed to the Zoo.  Kinley had not been feeling all that great the day before, and that morning, but by the time we were thinking of leaving she seemed to be doing a lot better, and she was SO excited... so we decided to go.

from the moment we walked in there was one thing she wanted to see....
A ELEPHANT.
 :)

and boy were they putting on a show for us!

Aunt Kira holding our little monkey, Miss Mila.
If you had any questions about how this girl feels about her daddy.... those pictures should take care of that for you!  Lovin' him.
After seeing the Elephants and a few other animals everyone wanted to go ride the carousel.  Nick got on with Kinley.

Everyone was LOVING it...

Except....
Each time she came around she was more sad.
It was sad but kind of cute.  Look at that bottom lip. :)

After the above experience she pretty well lost interest.

 Until....
She saw the marble water ball. :)
Once she was able to cool down and play in the water for a bit she got that skip right back in her step, and the smiles came back.

TWENTY 7

Old Nick Austin was a fine old man
He washed his face in the frying pan
He combed his hair with a wagon wheel
And died of the toothache in his heel

Get out the way for old Nick Austin
He's too late to git his supper
Supper's over and dishes washed
Nothing left but a piece of squash.

Alright, I will be nice.  Nick turned 27 this year and I have to give him a hard time because he thinks he is already getting old...(can you imagine how awful its going to be when he turns 37, or FORTY!) Haha!
Oh my sweet husband, bless his heart.   I love him. :D

We had a good day.  The girls and I got to surprise him at work with pizza for his team! After lunch the girls and I went home to decorate and finish making his birthday cake.

As he came home from work he was welcomed by balloons and his gifts.  We got him a nice new leather computer chair, and a HUGE EG (Starcraft II) mouse pad.

Needless to say, I think he was pretty happy.
Later that night we had the family over for cake and ice cream.
Chocolate fudge chunk with a peanut butter mousse icing topped with crumbled Reeses peanut butter cups.  Not too toot my own horn or anything but YUM!
Also, I couldnt get a great picture of the candles because the flash was going off but they burned different colors! It was kind of fun!
Kinley joined Dad in blowing out his birthday candles
 Happy Birthday My Man.
I hope this next year is a good one for you!
