Bake Me A Cake

Last month was Nick's Dad's Birthday.  Kinley and I decided to try out a new recipe we found and make Grandpa some sugar free cupcakes for his birthday.  I mean even diabetics should be able to have cake on their birthday right?!

She LOVED being able to get up on the stool and help me stir everything up etc.  She was having a blast!  When we got to the end I told her that she could "lick the bowl"  She took that very seriously!
We put icing on all the cupcakes and I put them on a plate.  Kinley kept asking and asking for a "cu-cake" and I kept telling her they were for Grandmpa.  She would then respond with "pa pa" and leave them alone.   A few hours after we had been done I left the room for a moment while she was playing with her toys.  When I came back literally 30 seconds later I found a toddler that had managed to get on the counter with her hands in the middle of the plate of  cupcakes.  I had her sit down and I gave her ONE and explained the rest were for Papa, and then hid them :)

She LOVED her one cupcake!  She just went in face first saying "Nummy!"
All I can think of her saying when I see this picture is "Oh my heck Mom, I am the best cook EVER!"
So cute!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Austin!

Here and There

It has been FOREVER since I have blogged and I have a lot of here and there pictures that I need to put up so here they are!

I think it is safe to say that Kinley has officially entered the "twos" as far as personality goes.  I am not going to say its terrible because heaven knows even though she has her moments (daily) :)  Its not ALL bad. :)

A few weeks ago she was having quite the rough day... getting into everything and anything that she could etc.  She ran into the kitchen while I was putting a few clothes away.  I could hear her fussing and getting frustrated but that wasn't all that out of the ordinary for the day. AND she was not crying or calling for me like she was hurt or anything so as any good mother would do they finished what they were doing before going to see what she was up to. **wink**   By the time I was done putting the clothes away I could just hear her talking to herself.  I went out to check only to find her hanging by the strap of her shirt from one of the drawer handles all the say to the floor.  I naturally ran to get the camera :)  The simple fact that I was taking pictures and not getting her off the drawer didnt make her a happy camper.  But it was still far too funny to not snap a few pictures before rescuing her.

We have also been having more fun in the tub.  She is an artist! Loves coloring!  So, we painted the bathtub, the wall, her hair and about anything else she could reach with the brush!  I had a little bit of extra cool whip that I wasn't going to use so we threw some food coloring in it and went to town!  She had a blast!

We did end up emptying the bathtub when she was done and taking a clean bath after :)

When Kinley was born Kendra (my little sister) gave her a cute pink Teddy bear.  Kinley calls her teddy.  She LOVES that bear and has to have it to go to sleep.

Well a few nights ago I put her to bed and she just wouldnt go to sleep.  I left the room after about an hour to go get her some milk when I looked over at the couch...and saw this.
I had to laugh because teddy even looked sad.  HOW in the world did I forget to give her teddy before bed.  I immediately took teddy in and she took her under her arm and said "ohhh Teddy" in the most loving voice, turned over and went right to sleep. :)

Noodles & Co.

I have a slight addiction...I am sure you are asking what it is.

Looking at this picture makes me want to jump in the car RIGHT NOW at 2:22am and get some (even though they are closed) :)  Noodles & Company Wisconsin Mac and Cheese just hits THE spot!

Well, last time we went we got an extra surprise!  They got an awesome drink machine.  Its Touch screen (Dear Grandchildren who are reading this right now while living on the moon....this is HUGE so stop laughing) You can choose any drink and then you have the option of like 8-10 different flavors of that drink....Peach Sprite people!  Its Delish!

Anyway, Kinley, Nick, and I were loving it!  I am pretty sure we tried EVERY last flavor we could :)

Kinley's "Krafts"

So Kinley loves coloring, and painting, and playing with clay and anything else that involves her getting to sit on the big girl bar stool! :)   The other day she was making me laugh because she was having a BLAST rolling the clay into balls and then stabbing them with the colored pencils.
Too Cute not to take a few (prob too many)  pictures of!

Tucker Family Reunion

I did an AWFUL job taking pictures this last weekend at the Tucker family reunion...But, over labor day weekend Nick, Kinley and I headed up to Altamont Utah to get together with Nick's Mom's side of the family for a few days.

We took up a toddler pool for Kinley and the other little kids to play in on Saturday to help keep them entertained.  Alex and Kinley played in it for a while and had a lot of fun.

We also did a lot of visiting with family, and went up on a little hike, and saw the Dam.
It was a fun weekend.

Brad's Golden Birthday

August 27th my cousin Brad turned 27.  His wife got a bunch of people together to surprise him at the Owls baseball game (She sold 180 tickets!)  When he walked in and saw all the family and friends that had come to help celebrate with him he was so surprised!  He had no idea!  It was great!
Everyone in the stadium sang happy Birthday to him, and the mascot gave him a gift.  They also made him participate in a bunch of on field activities like hitting a ball with a bat across the field and then eating a cupcake as fast as he could etc.  It was pretty fun to watch.
It was a lot of fun getting together with everyone!

What a goof

A few Days ago Kinley came out of the living room wearing Nick's glasses (She climbed up on the desk to get them.... oh dear).  She was so proud of herself, even though they were upside down. :)
Also, It looks like a picture through the hole in the tube is becoming a tradition each time we go to the park :) Kinley will poke her face through and say "cheeeeese".
