"Bedtime" With Daddy...

Bedtime with Daddy is WAY too much fun. :)   no wonder they will only actually go to sleep with me. ;)

I am so thankful I was lucky enough to be raised by a dad that was vested, and genuinely interested and involved in my life growing up... and I couldn't be happier that my girls have the same! 

Heart of Gold

This little girl is spunky, and full of energy, she is independent, and knows what she wants.  She also has a little heart of GOLD. 

We had some credits to use on Amazon prime so I thought I would rent a new movie for the girls to watch.  So since we were starting to get close to the holidays, and it was starting to get colder I thought I would introduce her to winter by renting Mickey Mouse Christmas.  We turned it on and she started watching.  From the other room I heard some cries "On no!! OH NO!  Pluto!"  Nick and I walked into the room only to see a little girl, eyes filled with tears.   Mickey was mad at Pluto for knocking the Christmas tree over and sent him out to his doghouse all alone.  She was heartbroken!  Nick ended up having to hold her through the rest of the movie.

Open Wide!

Kinley had another first.  Her FIRST Dentist Appointment!  She had what they call a "Happy Visit" where they let her play with all the tools and let her get used to sitting in the dentist chair. :)  AND, she better get used to it if she got ANY genes from me related to her teeth because she will be spending a good amt of time there! 

Even though she looks quite skeptical in the pictures....She did great!  She opened wide and let them take a look at her teeth. 

And as her reward she got a brand new toothbrush and childrens flossers!

Teddy even got his teeth checked!  No Cavities!

Cascade Springs

Since the first year we were married Nick and I each year pack up the car after the last session of conference to take a drive around the Alpine loop and up past Cascade Springs.  We love being able to see all the changing leaves, beautiful colors, and overall amazing scenery.  Always makes us thankful for the beauties that have been placed all around us in this valley.  This year we were able to get both our families on board to join us. :)  It was FREEZING but we all bundled up and headed out to go walk around.

These are a few pictures I got from the car.  This is definitely my favorite part of the drive. I think its such a beautiful area.  you come out of forest area to see the meadow, rolling hills, and the mountains.   It encompasses everything! 

This was DEFINITELY Kinley's FAVORITE part of the drive... and might even be one of her first long term memories.  We saw this Moose on the drive up there so we pulled over and lifted her out of the car to see him!  she got out of the car and said "AHH, thats a moose.... Its kinda scary!"  but then didnt want to get back in the car. :) She Still talks about it to this day and LOVES telling people that she "sawed a Moose." :)

Good Deal!

The Friday before Conference weekend I was out shopping at Target and in the clearance section saw a ball hut complete with balls that was 80% off!  And if you know me, you know I am a sucker for a good deal. :) Anyway, being just before conference I justified getting it by saying that if the girls had something new to play with I might be able to listen to a few more talks.  I brought it home and we got it all set up for them to play in the next morning.  well... while I did justify.... I was SO right!  They LOVED it and we got to listen to almost ALL of conference!  It was awesome. 

I love the static :)  She thought it was pretty funny too!
