Last year we didn't end up getting around to carving pumpkins so this year we made SURE we did it! The girls were both able to pick out pumpkins at their field trips to the pumpkin patch with their preschool classes so these pumpkins had been hand picked, carried around, loved, hugged, and dropped for about the last 3 weeks.
The girls were very excited to carve pumpkins!
We got out a couple spoons and knives and Nick brought in his sawzall.
To Mila's dismay she found out HOW exactly a jack-o-lantern is made....
She did not want Dad coming near her pumpkin if he was going to use that on it....
After having a little talk she finally let me cut the top out with a knife.
Im not sure Dad has yet earned back her trust. :)
They had a lot of fun choosing what they wanted to carve. Kinley chose "tumbling" so we carved a girl doing a back walk over and Mila wanted "punzel" so we carved Rapunzel and Flynn.
They Turned out Awesome!
