We grew up in different situations, and had different experiences in life. We dont always share the same common interests, or understand why the other even has the interest they do.
However, on Sunday, after a frustrating day full of "WHY cant you just ** insert task**?!" and "Why do you have to**insert task**!"s I was picking up our shoe basket and putting the shoes away when I saw this.
I realized that even though we are different, we are the same. We share the same goals and typically we share the same interests and opinions. sounds silly but seeing this helped me understand that, and realize how silly I had been for getting frustrated about the small things.
"Don't sweat the small stuff."

So true! I am really bad at not sweating the small stuff, lol...but working on it. Cute shoes btw ha ha
yep, same thing happens to me.
good for you, kate. way to find the eternal perspective. this post made me smile, and think back to a blog i wrote about a necklace that helped me to see a life lesson as well.
not to toot my own horn, but if you want, it's called "tangled wisdom...from ecuador with love". just so you don't feel silly about learning things from something so practical.
it's cool how God knows that we don't always need angels to remind us of some very fundamental lessons. :)
